This technique is also known as "input masking" and is usually used with number-based user text, specifically for automatically adding decimals, separators, delimiters, suffixes, and prefixes.
While input masking is used for formatting phone numbers, dates, time values and so on, VanillaMasker works best only for formatting financial and currency data.
The library is framework agnostic, meaning it works without any JS framework loaded on the page.
Additionally the library can also be used with mobile devices and responsive sites.
